Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Harris Geospatial have teamed up to offer anytime, anywhere geospatial analytics in the cloud. AWS has made it easy to use open data sources such as Landsat through their cloud technology, and when ENVI analytics are deployed in the AWS environment, organizations save money while enabling faster and better decisions.
AWS provides IT resources like data storage, networking, and computing all on-demand and with a pay-as-you-go pricing model. This means organizations don’t have to buy or manage their own hardware. ENVI uses query tools to search and discover data so it isn’t necessary to go to separate websites and download an entire image before knowing if it is even right for the project. With the ENVI Landsat 8 query tool, users connect to AWS Landsat 8 query service, search for images using a number of parameters, and bring results right into the ENVI platform. This not only saves data storage, but eliminates computational drain that occurs when users download data to their computing resources versus taking the algorithm to the data.
Check out this recorded webinar to learn more about how you can use AWS and ENVI for faster and better decision-making in the office, on the job site, or anywhere in between.
