With shrinking budgets, now is the time for the defense and intelligence community to look for on-demand tools that offer long-term cost savings along with scientifically proven image analysis. ENVI Services Engine delivers trusted image analytics to the cloud, is compliant with standards like OGC and REST, and provides a seamless integration with a variety of platforms such as ArcGIS® from Esri.
In defense and intelligence, imagery is information. But that information is only useful when it's available where and when it is needed. ENVI Services Engine delivers ENVI image analysis capabilities as a web service, enabling warfighters to access actionable intelligence in theater.
Identify, overlay, and fuse georeferenced data from various sources to create maps or support geospatial applications.
Fuse geospatial data and imagery with other types of intelligence such as signals intelligence, human intelligence, or crowd sourced intelligence for faster, corroborated and more reliable GEOINT.
Create collaborative work environments where ongoing projects are saved to a host server, rather than a desktop, where others can access it versus duplicating efforts.
Remove the boundaries of the desktop to enable geospatial analysis in a cloud environment where your data and imagery live. With ENVI Services Engine, you will free up resources by making system-wide installs, upgrades and maintenance easier to manage. Ultimately ENVI Services Engine helps you minimize hard costs while maximizing efficiency.
End users have access to massive amounts of geospatial and intelligence data quickly and efficiently.
Cut down on hard costs of buying and maintaining hardware by moving data storage online.
Save time and resources by centralizing your tools and data, making system installs, upgrades, and maintenance more efficient than a desktop by desktop job.
Warfighters need to be able to access imagery information directly from mobile devices to provide situational awareness, identify safe routes in foreign territories and monitor enemy activity. ENVI Products offer rapid image delivery for near real-time access to the imagery and data needed to make critical decisions in theater, even over highly-constrained bandwidths.
ENVI Products use the intelligent streaming technology and compression capabilities of the JPEG 2000 ISO standard format for time-critical situations where actionable intelligence is mandatory. Our standards-based technology offers high-performance and secure delivery and management for your geospatial imagery.
Sometimes just getting an image to the field isn’t all of the intelligence needed. An analyst may want to mark up an image to indicate an Area of Interest (AOI). These vector features need to be delivered to the end user in the field with the image data. By registering features with the IAS server, you can now stream point, line, or polygon features with your imagery. The IAS Viewer has been updated to overlay the feature data on the image display. New controls allow you to change properties of the features and turn on or off the feature layers.
Large imagery datasets are compressed using JPEG 2000 and can be accessed via JPIP (JPEG 2000 Interactive Protocol), to deliver any portion of an image at any resolution over any bandwidth. Quickly access, zoom and pan a desired region of interest without having to decompress the entire multi-gigabyte file. Tactical users often need only 1-2% of a compressed file, representing a download time of minutes or seconds as compared to hours for time-critical decision making. The IAS Viewer allows users to view data and associated metadata from any JPIP stream. The JPIP Streamer enables your application server to stream imagery via JPIP over HTTP or HTTPS to any JPIP-enabled viewer.
ENVI Products provide an out-of-the-box solution for the client side of the image dissemination chain with a high-performance, user-friendly web-based client for viewing streamed imagery. Images can be requested and viewed on different platforms, regardless of screen size, processing capabilities, and bandwidth constraints.
The IAS Compressor uses the information in compression profiles to compress NITF, TIFF and GeoTIFF data to NITF 2.1 C8, JPEG2000, or GeoJP2 formats. TFRD to NITF Converter converts TFRD files to NITF 2.1 files using compression profiles to prepare TFRD data for the JPIP Streamer. An add-on image chipper supports user-specified resolution and NITF and GeoTIFF output. Users can save a subset of an image as a local file in true image formats. Metadata associated with the imagery is streamed with the image data, or metadata can be inserted into the JPIP stream to dynamically create custom products.
From the tactical edge to the command center, your mission requires fast, reliable access to geospatial data. Exelis provides out of the box software solutions that give your entire chain of command the geographic and contextual information necessary to make mission-critical decisions.
