Create maps using burn difference indices to determine the extent of damage from forest fire or use the flood index to determine flood damage.

Use automated tools to extract features and update your GIS with current information such as location of damaged buildings and roadways, population centers or forest density from a variety of data including LiDAR, SAR, panchromatic, multispectral, and hyperspectral imagery.
Detect change by comparing two images from two different times to monitor changes to the landscape resulting from natural disasters such as flooding, earthquakes, landslides or volcanic eruptions. The results can include maps of detected changes and reports showing the area and percentage of detected change.
Determine whether lines of communication are impacted after an event,(e.g. has a landslide made a waterway or road impassable), to establish the best routes for getting disaster relief supplies to stricken areas.
Use terrain analysis tools to model flood zones, predict wildfire behavior, mud or snow slide potential, or other impacts of natural disasters.
Use LiDAR data to extract features and create 3D models of damaged buildings, roads, trees, power lines and other features. Results are easily exported for further analysis or inclusion in GIS mapping applications.
