Atmospheric and Geospatial Correction 103 4

Hello, I am a student working on a project for Craters of the Moon in Utah. We have been provided data from AVIRIS and HyMap and I am suppose to perform an Atmospheric and Geospatial Correction to the data. Once I have processed it then I need to use that data to determine different aspects of the ancient lava that exist there today.
My problem is that I don't know where to begin with processing this data and I'm new to all of this. Can someone walk me through what I need to do to get the dat...

I am new to SVM. I have to implement grid search along with 10 fold cross validation to find best C and gamma for RBF kernel. How to perform grid search method with k-fold cross-validation in ENVI 5.1 Is there any tool for doing this or we'll have to perform its steps one by one

Saving trained Nerual Net for later use 126 3

Is there any way to save out a neural net (Classification - Supervised - Neural Net) that has been trained on one image, so that it can be used to classify another similar image
It looks like any time I want to run the Neural Net classification on an image I need to select ROIs from that particular image to be used for the training. If there was some way to train a net using one image, then be able to apply it to other images that would be helpful. Is there any way to do this

Hello Sir,
I have downloaded a THEMIS IR RDR tile from PDS Geosciences Node and I tried opening the QUBE file in ENVI 5.1 using the following procedure: File ->Open as -> Binary and fed in the samples,lines and band details and assumed the storage format as BSQ. The dataset did open but its totally black and does not look like a THEMIS image. If you could help me out with my procedure to open the dataset, it would be great. ENVIMosaicRaster reports inconsistent number of bands, GUI runs without error 123 5

I am trying to mosaic 75 tif images in ENVI 5.3 using the "new" API. When I do this, I receive the following error:
"The input scenes must have the same number of bands"
although it is clear that each file has the same number of bands and all are BSQ. Each image was written using IDL's write_tiff and planarconfig=2
When I try to mosaic the same files using the referenced option from the old gui, the same images mosaic without complaint.
Any ideas

I'm trying to script some ENVI behavior using the IDL/ENVI command line tools on IDL Version 8.5.1 (linux x86_64 m64). However, I'm running into some problems that I think are bugs.
I'm using the ENVI GLT and GeoRef tools like such from the IDL/ENVI Command line with the following code extracted from my scripts:
e = ENVI(/HEADLESS)
geo_raster = e.OpenRaster("/path/to/2016-01-26.210054.HonorRancho.Line1-Run1-Segment01-110000-geo.dat")

Hi,
New to ENVI (5.3 64 bit) and am looking for some help regarding micro-sense's red edge.
Couple questions, do the tiffs need to be multi-tiffs before importing
Is there a specific way to import the images for band recognition
While running image registration I receive an error because the GPS header is gone from importing. Its either a. add tie points or b. image must have normal projections.

Hi all,
I'm trying to take a raster, open it, and find the maximums and minimums of its pixel values. When I run http://www.harrisgeospatial.com/docs/enviRasterIterator.html I get the maximum as the correct value, but the tools I use to create the raster set the value for no pixel to be "-1", and "-1", not my lowest true data value, comes up as the minimum.
I've tried modifying it to ignore the -1 value by adding the keyword "data_ignore_value=1.0000" when openin...

Hi,
I have ASTER L1T data that I need to work on and seems to be in DN values. I have read from AST_L1T user guide and they state that to convert them it needs to use the formula: Radiance at-sensor = (DN value – 1) x Unit conversion coefficient where for that case Unit conversion coefficient for the data from HDF file are:
Band 1: 0.676000
Band 2: 0.708000
Band 3: 0.862000
the DN values are:
Band 1 0 255
Band 2 0 255
Band 3 0 251

Hi,
I would like to know if there is a simple way of converting the bit depth of an image in ENVI. I am used to using ArcGIS products, but we have recently received ENVI 5.3 and are still getting used to this product, so it may be a case of different terminology between the programs or they way I'm looking at it but help would be appreciated.
We need to convert 100's of images (TIFF format) from 16-bit to 8-bit and it is a slow process. I'm hoping we can take advantage of ENVI's 64-bit operati...

I'm using ENVI 5.3 to run grey level co-occurrence texture analyses on a series of LiDAR-derived canopy height models. I have a question regarding the "Grey Level Quantization Levels" feature of the ENVI co-occurrence tool:
Do the grey level quantization levels represent a limit in the number of values being considered by the matrix I ask because I'm working with a collection of 8-bit rasters with values ranging from 0-63. With an 8-bit pixel depth, my data represents just 63 of 2...

No data "Bad band" After FLAASH Corrections 111 11

Hi,
I have been trying to do atmospheric correction of ASTER VNIR-SWIR data interval but in a result I get band 9 to have no data (zero values or bad band). What might be the cause of that because I have asked the data provider and they have said there is nothing wrong on there side. Then checked several other data the same problem appears.

Hi all,
I'm creating a script to automatically stitch together one band rasters of the same dimensions into one file with multiple bands. Those who will be using this are using an earlier version of ENVI that doesn't include the new ENVITask way of doing this.
When I run the procedure up to the ENVI stacking DOIT task, I get the following error:
"Error: 'Array dimensions must be greater than zero.' The result may be invalid"

Hi all,
I'm wondering if there's a workaround for exporting images from ENVI (or through IDL) at high resolution. I'm working with ENVI 5.3.1.
From what I can see, my options for exporting an image from ENVI with all enhancements included (e.g. stretching, sharpening, etc.) are:
Export at 72 dpi (Chip view to file; Export view to image file) or
Export view to Geospatial PDF and choose the export resolution.
Are there any more options than the 2 above I need at least 300 dpi resoluti...

I'm working with a push-broom style hyperspectral imager that outputs separate coordinate and aircraft yaw/pitch/roll information for each row (frame) of the generated image. That information is contained in a separate "Navigation" text file. The header file (below) which accompanies the image does not provide any coordinate information.

Good day Mari and/or Peg, I am trying to convert Aster L1T TIR data to Emissivity and temperature, from L1B is pretty straightforward but so far I am not getting consistent results from L1T data as DN values are very different compared to L1B data.
