ENVI SARscape Analytics: Flood Mapping
This blog includes the first in a series of overview videos showcasing one of the new ENVI SARscape Analytics! These easy-to-use tools were created for some of the most common SAR processing applications and extend the benefits of SAR data to more users. This first video highlights the Flood Mapping tool which uses pre- and post-flood SAR data to automatically find areas of inundation.
The really cool thing about using SAR data for this application is that SAR can see through clouds and even rain, so you can get much more timely information instead of having to wait for a storm to clear for optical imagery analysis.
