Notes


      Notes: txt contains a list of numbers. A range may
        be indicated by the syntax b:e where b = beginning,
        and e = end of the range. A step, s, may also be
        given: b:e:s. An example list might be:
        txt='.2:1:.2,3:8:2,1.234,2.345,3.456'
        print,convert_list(txt) gives the array:
          0.200, 0.400, 0.600, 0.800, 1.000, 3.000,
          5.000, 7.000, 1.234, 2.345, 3.456
