      OPFIT1D

Purpose


      Calculate orthonormal polynomial fit for 1-d data.

Calling Sequence


      yfit = opfit1d( y, ndeg, [x, c, p])

Inputs


      y = Data to fit. in
      ndeg = Degree of polynomial to use. in
      x = optional vector of independant variable values. in
        Degree must be greater than 1.

      c = opt. matrix of orthonormal polynomial coef. out
      p = optional vector of orthonormal polynomial values. out
      yfit = 1-d fit to original data. out
